Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 4 November 2026

Scope of the Policy and Services Covered

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses and related digital resources offered through globalmux. The services encompass informative materials on audiovisual production excellence, including broadcast studio design, camera control systems, professional lighting arrangements, sound engineering and streamlined workflows for television networks and live events. It covers both one-time course access and any subscription-based learning packages sold on the website. The policy governs transactions made by customers located in the United Kingdom and explains how payments are processed, when contracts are formed and the circumstances under which refunds may be granted. It does not extend to third-party products or services linked from the site.

Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges

All listed prices are shown in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include applicable Value Added Tax at the prevailing UK rate. Where a course includes optional add-ons such as downloadable templates or extended access periods, the additional cost is displayed clearly before checkout. No hidden fees are applied after purchase, although currency conversion charges may arise if a customer pays with a non-GBP card. Customers are responsible for any bank or payment processor fees incurred outside the United Kingdom.

Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security

Payments are accepted via major credit and debit cards, PayPal and bank transfer where available. All card transactions are authorised in real time and funds are held until the order is confirmed. globalmux uses secure payment gateways that comply with PCI DSS standards to protect card details. No payment information is stored on the site servers. Authorisation may be declined for reasons including insufficient funds, suspected fraud or mismatched billing details. In such cases the customer receives an immediate notification and the transaction is not completed.

Order Confirmation and Contract Formation

A binding contract is formed once the customer receives an order confirmation email following successful payment. This email contains the course access instructions, receipt and summary of terms. Until that confirmation is sent, no contract exists and payment may be cancelled without penalty. Access to digital course content is granted automatically upon confirmation, subject to the customer having created an account and accepted the site terms.

Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, UK consumers have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of contract formation during which they may cancel without providing a reason. For digital content, cancellation rights end once the customer begins downloading or streaming the material, provided they have given prior express consent to waive the cooling-off period. Subscription courses may be cancelled at any time after the initial period, with access continuing until the end of the paid term.

Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items

Refunds are available during the 14-day cooling-off period if the customer has not accessed the course content. Once access has commenced or the content has been downloaded, refunds are not provided except in cases of duplicate payment or technical failure attributable to globalmux. Promotional or discounted courses, bundled packages and any customised learning materials are generally non-refundable. Refunds are also excluded where the customer has breached the site terms of use.

Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund

To request a refund the customer must contact info@dramabydesign.com within the applicable period and supply the order number, full name, email address associated with the purchase and a brief explanation. Requests submitted via the contact form on the site will be acknowledged within two working days. Supporting information such as bank details for refunds may be requested securely. Incomplete requests will be returned for additional details.

Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification of Refund Decision

Each refund request is reviewed within five working days of receipt. The decision is based on whether the request falls within the eligibility criteria, whether access has occurred and whether any exclusions apply. Customers are notified by email of approval or rejection together with the reasons for any refusal. Approved refunds are processed promptly while rejected requests include guidance on any available alternatives such as course credit.

Refund Method, Processing Time and Receipt of Funds

Refunds are issued using the original payment method wherever possible. Credit or debit card refunds typically appear on the customer statement within five to ten working days, although some banks may require up to fourteen days. PayPal refunds are usually credited within two to three working days. Bank transfers are completed within seven working days. globalmux is not responsible for delays caused by the customer financial institution.

Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions and Promotional Offers

Digital courses are supplied immediately upon purchase. Customers are therefore asked to confirm that they understand the loss of cancellation rights before access is granted. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Promotional offers such as introductory pricing apply only to the first term and do not extend to subsequent renewals. Refunds for partially used subscription periods are not available except where required by law.

Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud

Failed payments result in immediate suspension of course access until the transaction is successfully retried or an alternative method is supplied. Duplicate charges are investigated and refunded automatically within ten working days once identified. Chargeback requests are treated as refund claims and investigated thoroughly. Suspected fraudulent activity may lead to account suspension and reporting to relevant authorities in accordance with UK law.

Mandatory Consumer Rights in the United Kingdom

Nothing in this policy affects the statutory rights of UK consumers under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018 or Payment Services Regulations 2017. These rights cannot be excluded or limited by contract. Where a conflict arises between this policy and mandatory law, the legal provisions prevail.

Contact Route, Policy Changes and Last-Updated Date

Questions regarding this policy should be directed to info@dramabydesign.com or through the contact form on the site. globalmux reserves the right to update the policy to reflect changes in law or business practice. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered customers and the revised version will be published on the website with a new last-updated date. Continued use of the site after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
